Monument dating from 1952, has 17 fluted columns without base or capital that aligns the circular enclosure protects 98 polls, only there are the remains of Gerardo Suarez, James Galvez, Manuel M. Dieguez, Enrique Diaz de Leon, James Ignacio Magana, Jose Gpe. Zuno Hernández, Ramón Corona and Mariano Otero, all prominent men in the history of Jalisco, in the arts, science, literature, to the defense of libertarian principles that were helpful for improving the city of Guadalajara. Nineteen large statues guard the solemn monument: Luis Vallarta jurist, scientist Leonardo Oliva, the poet Enrique Gonzalez Martinez, The wise benefactor Agustin de la Rosa Clemente Aguirre composer, architect James Galvez, Luis Perez Verdía Historian, The insurgent Pedro Moreno, Manuel Lopez Gossip educator, reformer Valentin Gomez Farias, general Manuel M. Dieguez and the painter José Clement Orozco.
